The last few weeks have flown by with a blur. It went by so fast I hardly had any time for myself to sit and reflect on the things I was grateful for. So here it goes, the last 2 weeks in this Reflection Sunday into one.
There was only a few days in week 3 that I was able to sit and reflect and have that “me time” that we all crave and strive for.
With the energy coming up to the #Bloodmoon, #SuperBloodMoon, #HaverestMoon it was a challenge for my own body to get to that higher vibrations that I was feeling all around me. Sunday evening I lite a candle and wrote down a few things that I was releasing and wrote down what I wanted to bring into my lift this year. I wanted to release a lot of that old “junk” that was keeping me from moving into that higher vibration such as guilt, anger, resentment and the like. Here’s a few pictures I was able to take of the moon when it wasn’t underneath too much of the clouds.
I wish I was able to have some great pictures to show all of you, the camera on my phone is not the greatest as it doesn’t show the fullness or the brightness that the moon was that night. But it was still an amazing sight to see.
Over the last few years or so I was able to watch a few Full Moons that have taken my breath away and this is by far as topped that list. I don’t know about what it was, maybe it was because I am more spiritual now that I have ever been, or the love that I am able to feel in my heart and know in my mind that this is something that I want to do more of. To see, to feel, to heal myself, and help heal others. It sure has changed my way of life. I prayed and given thanks to all the wonderful blessings in my life as I watched over this amazing sight.
During the next few days after the full moon and eclipse I still feel the energy in the air, in me and in my children. My body was telling me to get those few extra minutes of sleep, or hours depending on what time it was, to help me equal out that vibrational pull I was feeling. I was feeling drained, tired and I’ll admit it a little bit overwhelmed. I mediated a little bit more so that I was able to be in the present moment and help my body and the cells refresh.
The girls had picture days coming up and since Chelsie is a little bit of a girly girl ( through and through) we picked out the outfit the night before. She hardly ever lets me put up her hair so it was sorta a shock that she asked me to put her hair into a fishtail braid. Chelsie wants to be that independent person , always wanting to do things herself and in her own way. But I was still thrilled she asked for help. She decided on a light pale pink dress, the green Moroccan flat shoes that I sell for One Earth, a little bit of blush and lip gloss and she was ready for picture day. She looked so beautiful. I honestly can’t believe where the time as gone when I look back, it seems like just only yesterday that she was born. She’s 9 and wise beyond her age.
I ended up purchasing a few books for myself through Indigo and honestly I placed the order on Sunday evening and by Monday afternoon it was already shipped and delivered. I was surprised at how FAST I was able to receive my order. I ended up ordering a few books on herbs as I am learning more about them. I want to start using them as ingredients for my lotions, potions, and handmade soap, so you will have to stay tuned for some of those up coming posts and how you will be able to get some of them too.
This week we didn’t have too much going on besides getting my oldest daughter’s police check. She’s in grade 9 and will be volunteering at AASK ( arts after school kids program) for her volunteer hours so she can complete those for her high school diploma.
The end of Sunday is almost here and it was a BUSY and FUN weekend. A few friends of mine decided to go away for a weekend away to Niagara falls, and they had asked me to watch their little ones for them. So I had their 4 and my own 2 children for the weekend, so 6 children for 2 full days whatever will I do with them all? LOL. It was a fun-filled with movie nights, Pizza parties for dinner and lunch, listening and dancing to music, cuddling on the couch. The older two went out Saturday afternoon before it started to rain to a friend of their’s so I had some time to get the younger one’s cleaned up and do some fun crafts. Oh I can’t leave out the fur babies as well. They had their spot beside me as well after all the kids were down for the count for the night and cuddled up next to me for their snuggling time as well.
Kyra also was able to spend time with her ‘Big Sister’ from Big Brothers and Big Sisters association Sunday afternoon. So I was down to 5 kids. The older kids were thrilled I put on the movie Max. I haven’t seen it myself either so it was good afternoon to relax. We ended up having lasanga, and csearar salad for dinner with cupcakes for dessert. We got home around 7:30 and just enough time for my girls to change into their pj’s and hit the sack.
So all in all it was a great weekend.
